This dubbel pours a medium brown with a frothy white head.  Great lacing.

Smell consists of malt, wheat, yeast, banana, floral notes, spice, pepper, slight caramel.

Taste consists of malt, hops, wheat, bread, yeast, banana, floral, herbal, pepperiness.

Mouthfeel is smooth with good floral and herbal earthiness.  Nice balance of flavors.  Good dryness on the palate.

Overall, this is a quite good, deep, rich dubbel with nice wheat and banana tastes accented with floral and herbal notes.  Bready, malty with some hoppiness.  All of the tastes mesh well together.  As the temperature of the beer rises, more nuances of flavors reveal themselves, with each taste almost different from the previous.

My score: 95
